I opened it knowing I would get in trouble, but when she saw me singing she just kind of let it be.”

2008 – San Francisco, California. A young, married rhythm section from Half Moon Bay hears an old friend from San Jose’s songs he has recorded on his own. Phone calls and emails are exchanged. There are no first impressions to make anymore, everyone gets along fine. Amps are plugged in; an initial recording session is made. They practice for a long time. A year later, they finish recording an album and start playing shows. A terse biography is drawn up to help get more shows. So the story goes once more.

Weapons of the Future are instruments of creation. An innovative and powerful indie rock band with a touch of sci-fi, psychedelic, and garage rock. Take Interpol, mix it with the Cramps, Sonic Youth, and Morphine and you might get an idea of the Weapons Of the Future sound. Nevertheless, playing live is where they shine the most. The moodiness of the keyboard sounds and the mysticism of the front man’s lyrics are complimented by the solid dance grooves created by the rhythm section. They go through the set captivating the audience through multiple mediums, both visual and sonic.
