Blood and Sunshine was conceived in the death of a dream. James Brennan, a house-music producer who’s inspiration had gone, abandoned his long held ambition to be a successful dance music DJ. After a short period of mourning came a long period of woodshedding whereby James rebuilt the songwriting and performing muscles that had atrophied from years of neglect. (cue exhilarating music: montage of James hunched over a guitar in a broken down apartment, interspersed with the open mics of San Francisco. Enter: Joseph)

Joseph Macrino came through the door at Lennon Studios where James was prepping what would eventually become Blood and Sunshine’s first EP. Joseph liked what he heard. More importantly, he liked James. James liked Joseph too. And so, a musical friendship began. [taken from the bowels of their myspace]
