Why The Dyke March Needs Your Help?
After 18 years, the volunteer-led Dyke March is having serious financial difficulty that may result in canceling this year’s march. This year we need to cover the enormous cost of port-o-potties, insurance and park fees – costs were previously donated or waived. In addition, some of our grant funding has been cut, leaving us with almost nothing to cover essential expenses like set up, accessibility and clean up.
We need to raise $30,000 to cover the cost of the event.
