Kemo Sabe is a wild acoustic trio that play what they call “modern-day campfire songs” with the bare-wire energy of punk rock.

If you cut Richard Simmons in half and kept his left side and you cut Glenn Danzig in half and kept his right side and sewed the two together down the middle, you would file us between the sweaty (halves) of Richard Danzig Simmons. Meaning: We’re very energetic and we rock with evil intensity. We cite Split Lip Rayfield and Djano Reinhardt as our biggest influences and, at our best, remind people of the Bad Livers, Cheap Suit Serenaders, Violent Femmes and Tenacious D, among others. Laura Jean is the new project from Oakland duo Laura and Danny Allen (High Diving Horses). They are unruly pop that sometimes detours down the Mississippi River late at night on a bender. Catchy melodies and scrappy guitars tones seamlessly mix with jangle punk, drunken banjo and junkyard percussion. The band are a bunch of people who love to play music and are really good at it, including John Would, Amy Wood, Julian Anderle and Luther Monday on harmonica. They like Mexican restaurants, people who do stuff, and music that you want to turn up really loud while driving.
